This contract required the installation of three aluminum truss pedestrian bridges in a remote location on the historic Chilkoot Trail. The Chilkoot Trail runs between Skagway, Alaska and Bennet, Yukon. Big Rock installed a combination of concrete and rock drilled footings at the three bridge sites. All site access and mobilization of construction materials was completed with helicopters. The bridges were slung into place via helicopter long lining. This work took place in an environmentally sensitive historic park and required Big Rock’s crew to adhere to a strict environmental policy and waste management plan.
